Our Story
Founded in 2018 by a passionate group of gaming enthusiasts and industry veterans, Expo Jeux Quebec emerged from a simple vision: to create Canada's most comprehensive and inclusive gaming exhibition. What started as a small gathering of 500 local gamers in a Montreal community center has transformed into the premier gaming destination attracting over 50,000 visitors annually from across North America.
Our founders, recognizing the gap between Quebec's thriving gaming development scene and the broader gaming community, set out to build bridges between indie developers, major studios, esports professionals, and gaming enthusiasts of all ages. The first Expo Jeux Quebec featured just 25 exhibitors and a handful of tournaments, but the overwhelming response from both participants and visitors confirmed that we had tapped into something special.
Today, Expo Jeux Quebec stands as a testament to the power of community-driven events. We've expanded beyond a simple exhibition to become a catalyst for innovation, networking, and celebration within the gaming industry. Our event now spans three days, features over 200 exhibitors, hosts international esports tournaments with prize pools exceeding $100,000, and provides a platform for emerging developers to showcase their creations alongside industry giants.
